Knitwear Designer Riley Davies studied textile design at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in 2020. Since then, she has worked in production knitwear, independent creative projects, and launched her own brand, RedThreads Design. Her creative work is motivated by a keen interest in natural yarn textures and colour interactions on distinctive silhouettes. Sustainability is at the core of her work; this includes the circular life cycle of yarns from natural sources, a full working knowledge of farm to garment processes, working with waste and scrap materials, and mending knit garments.

Riley believes that garments carry stories and life with them, and maintaining their functional ability through beautiful construction and mending is essential to the sustainability model through the lens of a consumer.
